Our commitment

ACT Training (ACTM) trading as ACTM Training & Consultancy is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disability.

We want anyone who wants to train with us to be able to find what they need and contact us, whatever technology they use to browse the web.

Standard we work to

This website has been assessed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium and are the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. Level AA is the benchmark the Australian Human Rights Commission identifies for meeting obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

What we assessed, and how

The assessment covered every page template on this website, including the home page, course pages, contact page and policy pages. It was carried out using:

  • Automated accessibility scanning of every page
  • Keyboard-only navigation, to confirm that everything on the site can be reached and used without a mouse
  • Screen reader testing, to confirm that pages are read in a sensible order and that form messages are announced
  • Testing at mobile screen widths and with text enlarged, to confirm that nothing is lost or becomes unreadable
  • Review of page content for colour contrast, and for any instruction that relies on colour, shape or position alone

All applicable criteria were assessed. Where a criterion does not apply to this site — for example, requirements relating to video captions, where we publish no video — that has been recorded with the reason.

Current status

As at the date of the last assessment shown above, this website meets WCAG 2.2 at Level AA across the page templates assessed.

Accessibility is affected by changes to content, layout and functionality. This statement describes the site as assessed on that date, and we re-assess following any significant change.
