1. About this disclaimer

This disclaimer applies to the information published on this website, actm.net.au, operated by ACT Training (ACTM) trading as ACTM Training & Consultancy, a registered training organisation, Registration Code: 2927.

It should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. General information only

Information on this website is provided for general information purposes only. It is not advice, and it does not take into account your individual circumstances, experience, licensing status or workplace requirements.

Before acting on anything you read here, you should consider whether it is appropriate for your situation, and seek advice from us or from the relevant regulator, licensing authority or employer.

3. Accuracy and currency

We take care to keep this website accurate and up to date. However, training packages, units of competency, licensing requirements, regulatory standards and fees change from time to time, sometimes at short notice.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that information on this website is accurate, complete, current or free from error.

The authoritative source for the nationally recognised training we are registered to deliver is the national register at training.gov.au. Where information on this website differs from the national register, the national register prevails.

Where information on this website differs from the course information and enrolment documents we give you before you enrol, those documents prevail.

4. Course information is not an offer

Course descriptions, durations, delivery modes, entry requirements, availability and fees shown on this website are indicative and may change.

Nothing on this website is an offer to provide training, or a guarantee that a course will run, that a place is available, or that you are eligible to enrol. Enrolment occurs only when you complete our enrolment process and we confirm your place in writing.

5. Licensing, accreditation and employment outcomes

This is the most important part of this disclaimer, so we have set it out plainly.

Completing a course or unit with us does not, by itself, give you a licence, accreditation or industry authority.

Licences, accreditations and industry authorities — including driver training accreditation, high risk work licences and dangerous goods licences — are issued by regulators and licensing authorities, not by us. Each regulator sets its own requirements, which may include age, medical and eyesight standards, driving or criminal history checks, experience requirements, additional assessments, fees and other conditions.

Requirements differ between states and territories, and they change from time to time. It is your responsibility to confirm the current requirements with the relevant authority for the state or territory in which you intend to work.

We do not guarantee any employment outcome. Nothing on this website should be taken as a promise or prediction that you will obtain work, a particular role, or a particular level of income after completing training with us.

6. Testimonials and examples

Any testimonials, case studies or examples of student outcomes on this website reflect the experience of the individuals concerned. They are not a guarantee, promise or prediction that you will achieve the same or a similar outcome.

7. Third-party websites and content

This website links to third-party websites, including government, regulator and mapping services, and may display content supplied by third parties.

We do not control that content, we are not responsible for its accuracy or availability, and a link does not mean we endorse the site, its operator, or anything on it. Your use of any linked website is subject to that website’s own terms.

8. Technical information and website availability

We do not warrant that this website will be available at all times, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components. You are responsible for maintaining your own protection against viruses and other harmful code.

9. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

This disclaimer applies only to the extent permitted by law.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, information published on this website, or from any inability to access it.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant information or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

11. Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The current version will always be available on this website, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.

12. Contact us

If anything on this website is unclear, or you want to confirm current course, fee or licensing information, please contact us before relying on it.
